How will you be celebrating?
October 7th is the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary, a feast that was instituted in celebration of the Holy League’s successful defense of Europe from the Ottoman Invasion at Lepanto in 1571.
Because of this great feast day, the entire month of October is Marian and is dedicated to the Holy Rosary.
Sadly, October has grown into a month where the demonic is celebrated more and more. (This is to say nothing about the proper celebration of or people’s differing views on Halloween).
Therefore, we thought it would be a good idea this October to focus on how people are celebrating Mary, the Rosary, and their Catholic Faith!
Do you have a special way that you highlight Mary and the Rosary during October?
Do you have prayers or other devotions that you focus on this month?
Are there any traditions that your family has to celebrate Mary and encourage devotion to Our Lady?
Rather than dwell on the negative, we’d like to build up the positive and share different ways that people celebrate Mary during October. If you have anything you’d like to share, whether it be statues or icons, or unique devotions, please feel free to share with the Scapular Apostolate!
We would love to share the beautiful way you and your family are honoring Mary with others (pictures welcome)!
